Incense Blend • Manifestation • High Vibration
WHAT IS A GRATITUDE OFFERING?
I mentioned in my Morning Ritual blog post that I often do a morning gratitude offering. This is an offering to whatever you believe in, whoever resonates with you - spirit, the universe, deities, archangels, spirit guides, ancestors - to say thank you for all you have, everything that is coming to you, and for always supporting you. I like to do this a few times a week (weekly is fine!).
- a few crystals
- a tealight
- my pendulum
- palo santo
- jar of salt
- charcoal discs
- jar of dried lavender
- jar of frankincense resin
WHY IS GRATITUDE SO IMPORTANT?
Gratitude practice is super high vibrational - if you are into the law of attraction and manifesting, you'll know exactly what I mean. When you practice gratitude, you are looking for good things to be thankful for - which makes you more receptive to positive things, which in turn makes you happier.
Instead of focusing on the negative, you are intentionally training yourself to look for the positive around you. Being grateful also sends a message to the universe that you're ready to receive more great things. There's always something to be grateful for, even if you aren't in an ideal place physically or mentally - look to nature, friendships, your last meal, or even express gratitude for things you'll receive in the future (manifest it).
Being in a high vibrational state is when the manifestation magic happens. Like attracts like. Those happy emotions will attract what you desire to you. Think about when you are in a really great mood and everything just seems to flow for you. Everything goes right. Gratitude is one way you can raise your vibration.
This gratitude offering is an incense blend - a combination of herbs & resins blended together.
What I use:
- Frankincense resin
- Charcoal discs
- Small cauldron
- Optional: a mortar & pestle if you have one
- Optional: charcoal tongs (charcoal burns hot and tongs are a lifesaver!)
A mortar & pestle is great if you have one as you can spend time focusing what you're grateful for awhile you are grinding the ingredients, and really get your intention in there.
You can choose whatever resins and herbs you like for your offering blend. You could choose specific herbs and resins for your deities and guides, and even do your offering ritual on specific days suited to them.
When the blend has been ground, burn a few pinches on top a hot charcoal disc on a small cauldron or fireproof dish.
While the incense is burning, I like to write down in my journal 3 things I'm grateful for.
