Chicory is a deep-rooted perennial with a hairy stem, oblong leaves and cobalt blue flowers. Chicory root has a dark earthy robust scent. Roasted roots smell delicious - like rich chocolate and coffee.

Chicory is a mild bitter tonic for the digestive tract and liver. Chicory root is used by herbalists as a laxative, and cleansing the urinary tract.

- Make a decoction with chicory root for the magickal or healing properties.
