German Chamomile is a sweetly aromatic annual with finely cut leaves and white flower heads. Chamomile has a subtle scent, reminiscent of apples.

Herbalists use German chamomile to relieve pain, reduce insomnia, anxiety, stress, fever, indigestion, as a sedative, and to promote sleep and pain relief. It is a mild antiseptic, and can help nausea and menstrual pain.

German chamomile has been used for digestive problems since at least the 1st century AD. The name means "earth apple" describing the beautiful scent.
